This is the first project that we did in 3D animation class. The subject was, to use every object that was available in 3Ds Max. First I create a pink plane and then on top of that I put the rest of objects such as box, sphere, teapot and more by using the Move tool. At first it was a little bit hard to figure out how to work with this program but after few times practicing it became really easy and inserting. It just took me 20 minutes to do this.
Project #2 The Mad Man...
This is the second project that we did in 3D animation class. The subject was to make a human face. For creating this face I had to make a sphere and by using Edible Poly ( a modifier) I created the holes for eyes, mouth and nose. And after that I made two spheres as eyeballs and with the Link Tool I attached them on the face so if i moved the face the eyeballs would move too. And then by using torbosmooth I made the face look polished. It took me about a class to make this.
Project # 4 The Fancy Table...
I have to be honest this was the funnest project that we did so far in this class. We were able to use textures on objects to make them look more realistic. For table I used 4 hose and and a big square, I used wood texture, and for other objects I used Glass and Turquoise texture to make it look real and cool. And of course I put two lights to highlight the objects and make it brighter.
The Fancy Table ...
This is the fancy table project... The hardest project ever .... For creating this first I made a round table and I used light wood material for it. Then by using the Cloth Modifier I made a tablecloth for it and used lace tablecloth texture. For making the plates and bowls I used line and then lathe modifier and I put ceramic material for it. For the carpet I made a plane and used carper material for it. I was not able to render this project (Because of technical issues) so i just used an application called Crop and basically took a picture of my final project.
Name Extruded Text...
For building this logo, I had to make my name into a extruded text. For creating this I had to use text ( as a shape ), and then I had to make a rectangle around it and with command panel I changed the corners to round ones. Then by using Extrude Modifier I made it like 3D logo.
Beveled Text...
For this logo I used the text and instead of a Extrude Modifier I used Beved Modifier. I had to change the bevel values and by doing that I've got this 3D shaped logo. For coloring this logo I had to use multi/Sub-object material editor to color it with multiple colors (the back, front and sides are different colors). It was so easy to do and only took me 10 mins.
Screwdriver...
For this project we had to make a screwdriver. For building this, I had to make three circles, two rectangles, and one star. By using the loft modifier I was able to use those shapes and create the screwdriver texture. Buy changing the path number I was able to use those shapes in different places.
The Knight...
It almost took me 2 classes to create this knight... It was so confusing at first but I did it !! So fie building this knight I used a real picture of a knight and traced it with lines after that I made to center lines, and I create lines between those center lines and traced lines. You are only allowed to have 3 to 4 sided shapes. after doing all of that i used Surface modifier and with that I kinda gave my knight a body. After that I used mirror modifier to make a exact same thing and then i attached those shapes together.
The Chess...
For this scene, I used a round table to put the chess board on it, I used to candles to frame the table and two glass of wine for the players. for creating the chess board I used a box and I put the chess board material texture on it. For building each chess pieces I used a really pictures of them and traced them with lines and used Lath modifier to give it a body.
Chess Animation ... 6 Pics...
I am in the middle of my chess animation and we had to post 6 pictures of he first 6 scenes. Well here they are. 1) The first picture is from the first scene and it had a title which is ' The Battle from HELL '. I have 2 candles and a round table and a chess board. 2) I have my Pawns in this picture form scene two. And I changed the camera angle and it would move in the actual anime. 3) For the scene 3, I zoomed and changed the angle camera. 4) In the scene 4, the black pawns are starting to come up form the bottom of the chess board. 5) In this scene all the pawns are in and the knight and other pieces are joining them. 6) The scene 6, is the scene in which all of the pieces including the king and queen are in, I have an strong light there and they are ready to begin.
Headphone...
For this project we had to make a advertising film, first we had to make an object. So I chose to make a headphone. for creating this I I had to make two spears as the headphones and i make a plane and used the bend modifier to bend it and make it look like an actual headphone. That's it..
flying Angel ...
For this character, I used wings (made by line) and then I just followed the steps on the handout to make the characters body. I used snow and some plants to frame it.
Hamlet...
For this project, we had to make a hamlet, designed to our style. So I added crystals to the hamlet to make it more girly looking. For making the crystals, I used materials. And I used gold texture for the whole hamlet.
First Scene...
This is my first scene of the big project. I made a city with roads and buildings. For making the buildings I used boxed and with edible poly I removed the top of the box, and added plane to put another bitmap on them as the roof. I used trees to frame the city and make it look more like an actual city.
Material editor...
For this project we had to make a teapot with a material editor on it. like the old simple way, but I made it shinier.
These are pictures of my first scene. For the first scene I used a tool called populate. What this tool dose is, it makes pedestrians . With these pedestrians the city will look more like an actual city By playing the video the people start walking. I made buildings and roads and trees.
